Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems certification is provided by certification bodies to organizations who have demonstrated that they have implemented a system for the occupational health & safety. OHSMS is a framework that allows an organization to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, help achieve compliance with health and safety legislation and continually improve its performance.

A Certification Body applying for OHSMS as per ISO 45001:2018 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation must conform to ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO 17021-10, and IAB:CAB: OHSAS and other additional International requirements as detailed in Specific Requirements for Accreditation for OHSMS Scheme.
